Where it all began

The Bella Figura journey started with a simple loaf of bread. Since then, our offering has grown to include breads for all tastes and occasions. We are constantly trying new recipes to add to our menu, so watch this space. If there is a specific type of bread you are looking for, please let us know.

Oli’s Sourdough

The key ingredient to sourdough bread is the starter and what gives sourdough its distinct tangy flavor. A starter is a goopy utopia where wild yeast and bacteria live harmoniously. The longer you keep it going the better the flavor.

In honour of our first grandchild, Olivia Grace, we created our starter the day she was born and it has been going strong ever since.

Ciabatta

This iconic Italian bread is what sparked our love for freshly baked bread. Ciabatta is bread you can tear apart and share with loved ones, especially over a hearty home cooked meal.

Toasted with some cheese, or drizzled with olive oil and balsamic, you cant go wrong with a ciabatta loaf.

Country Loaf

This soft and fluffy loaf of bread is our nod to our Afrikaans heritage. Baked in the traditional style, our Country Loaf is the perfect side for any boere kos dish smeared with Appelkoos konfyt.

Best served in chunky slices with salted butter. Great to soak up the left over juices at lunch.
